The studio collaborates with cultural institutions, public organizations, and commercial brands to create identity systems and visual narratives that connect contemporary culture, technology, and design. Known for its refined and research-driven approach, Principal Studio develops work that balances conceptual clarity with strong visual execution. Their projects span visual identities, websites, motion design, exhibitions, publications, and integrated campaigns for clients in the fields of art, architecture, culture, education, and commerce.
Bryan-K. Lamonde is co-founder and creative director of Principal, a Montréal-based studio working at the intersection of strategy, identity, and design. At Principal, he leads brand and communication projects for institutions navigating moments of change, including the International Olympic Committee, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, BIXI, Canada Council for the Arts, The Gund at Kenyon College, Lambert & Fils, and Théâtre Prospero. His practice is grounded in typography, visual systems, and a culturally informed perspective shaped by architecture, publishing, and contemporary art. The result is work that resists trend in favor of endurance, identities and experiences built to evolve alongside the organizations they represent.
